This spiraling horn, constructed of spalted pecan, is inlaid with abalone dots. Abalone shell has long been used as a decorative piece when inlaid in wood as on guitars. The abalone is strategically placed to reinforce the visual stairs that narrow and steepen towards the top of the piece. The abalone dots circumnavigate the piece 3 times from the base to the narrow tip. The piece is 15.75″ tall and 6.25″ diameter at the base.
